Examples of How Participants Apply Course
Concepts:
Participants in our training programs document what they specifically
applied from the session and how it impacted their department.
Here are some samples from actual
participants:
LOGISTICS/TRANSPORTATION COMPANY
These are the new or changed actions/behaviours I applied
on the job:
Spend more time consciously listening to employees concerns, get
to know them better, recognize good performance.
These are the results I observed that were the outcomes
of what I applied:
Employees began offering more ideas and improvement suggestions.
When they received recognition for doing a good job they where more
eager to take on additional tasks.
FOUNDRY
These are the new or changed actions/behaviours I applied
on the job:
Began leading by example, setting standards by actually exhibiting
acceptable work habits.
These are the results I observed that were the outcomes
of what I applied:
The guys I work with began trying to work to that level, filling
moulds properly, chipping furnaces out better and helping each other
more.
AUTOMOTIVE
These are the new or changed actions/behaviours I applied on
the job:
Used the 10 step delegation planner to assign a specific job to
a tooling engineer
These are the results I observed that were the outcomes
of what I applied:
The task was received more openly than in the past. The P.P.A.P.
was completed to the customers satisfaction. Due to the effective
delegation the tooling engineer took complete ownership of getting
it done.
MANUFACTURING (HEARING AIDS)
These are the new or changed actions/behaviours I applied
on the job:
When speaking to an employee who was generally negative about having
conversations with me, I changed my communication “style.”
Made sure my body language did not send negative messages, responded
in a positive manner (words & tone).
These are the results I observed that were the outcomes
of what I applied:
Over time the person has become less confrontational with me and
more at ease in having conversations.
